About the job Head of Risk Management - Paris

Our client is one of the world's largest reinsurance groups established over 50 years ago in Europe.

They are looking to recruit the head of risk management for their global life and health activities. Responsible for a team of 10-12 people in several locations, the person will responsible for managing and improving all risk management procedures with a focus on life assurance. The position will involve close contact with other departments in the group, particularly for coverage of transversal risks, and local regulators.

Whilst the group has its own risk analysis tools, there is always a certain degree of personal judgement that needs to be presented and justified to senior management.

The ideal candidate should have at least 15 years' experience, principally in risk management within the insurance or reinsurance sectors, and proven management skills. A sound knowledge of life assurance and major international markets (Europe, US, Asia) is important.

The position could also be based in Paris, Dublin or Cologne. The client is willing to sponsor non-European candidates who have the right qualifications.
