+Simple is a pan-European insurance platform solving a critical market gap : providing specialized insurance coverage to small businesses that traditional insurers are reluctant to serve . For many professionals—from tattoo artists to accountants, medical practitioners to construction companies—proper insurance isn't just protection; it's essentially a "work permit" allowing them to operate legally.

Our technology platform automates the entire insurance value chain, transforming the economics of small commercial insurance. Operational costs typically make these segments unprofitable for traditional providers. Through our platform, 14,000 small brokers across Europe can issue quotes within minutes, process payments, and activate coverage instantly for their clients.

We operate in five European countries (France ~40%, Italy ~30%, Germany, Spain, and Austria ~30%) with ~250 employees. We are profitable , managing approximately €350 million in premium volume and generating €60 million in revenue. Our tech team has built a robust back-office system handling hundreds of thousands of complex transactions with the reliability required for financial services.

The Head of Markets position is a key role within +Simple, reporting directly into the Country Manager and member of the Management Committee France.

The role is essential in driving sustainable growth for +Simple portfolios in France, managing a team of specialist underwriters and in collaboration with Operations and Sales & Marketing.

• Maintain our product-market-fit, constantly planning product evolutions based on competitive becnhmarks and feedback from Sales (pricing, guarantees, deductibles, options…)
• Drive new product creation: identify business opportunities for new offering
• Responsible for meeting our budget targets

Deliver sustainable performance for our risk carriers

• Define underwriting guidlines and processes across our portfolios
• Monitor the performance of our insurance protfolios and take appropriate actions to improve their sustainability
• Negotiation with carriers on product evolutions

Management and cross-function collaboration

• Management of a team of 20+ underwriters specialized per Lines of Business
• Work in close collaboration with Sales & Marketing and Operations to align on trasnformative projects for the company and to meet our OKRs.
• Work in close collaboration with Product Team (Tribe 1)

Education

• Master’s degree in Business School, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in insurance leadership roles, managing the underwriting function and having the responsibility of insurance portfolios under delegation. Experience in digital insurance and/or among a wholesale broker or MGA is a plus.
• Strong track record in insurance underwriting and managing relationships with Insurance Companies.
• Existing business network among insurers and distributors in France.
• Fluency in P&C insurance for SMEs on both Damage and PI product lines
• Ability to monitor and analyse the performance of insurance portfolios
• Management experience in a fast moving environment
• Data-driven and at ease with numbers and KPIs
• Pro-active with a can-do attitude
• Animated by values and work ethics
• Proximity management for the Market Teams
