Head of E-commerce

As blackcrows continues to expand globally, we are seeking a Head of E-commerce to lead the next phase of our direct‑to‑consumer growth.
This role sits at the intersection of commerce, brand, and technology , with full ownership of the performance and evolution of blackcrows’ digital business.
The Head of E-commerce will define and execute a best‑in‑class DTC strategy, driving revenue growth while delivering a seamless and premium customer experience aligned with the brand’s identity.
This is a highly impactful role requiring strong commercial acumen, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of digital ecosystems .
Key responsabilities
1. E-commerce Strategy & Business Performance
- Own and drive blackcrows’ global DTC e-commerce strategy , aligned with brand positioning and international growth objectives.
- Own overall digital business performance (revenue, conversion rate, AOV, retention, profitability).
- Build and manage the commercial calendar (product launches, seasonal moments, activations) in close collaboration with Product, Marketing, and Creative/Product teams.
- Ensure the balance between brand storytelling, product experience, and commercial performance across the digital channel.
- Full ownership of the DTC P&L , including revenue growth, margin, and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to scale DTC while maintaining strong relationships with wholesale partners.
2. Digital Operations & Commercial Execution
- Oversee day‑to‑day e‑commerce operations : product catalog, online merchandising, pricing consistency, and stock availability.
- Ensure smooth execution of product launches, seasonal drops, and high‑traffic moments .
- Coordinate closely with Supply Chain, Logistics, and Customer Service to ensure operational excellence and premium customer experience.
- Drive continuous improvement of site performance , conversion, and user experience through data‑driven optimization and testing.
- Continuously improve the end‑to‑end digital customer journey , from discovery to post‑purchase experience.
3. Acquisition & Performance Growth
- Define and lead the digital acquisition strategy across paid media, organic channels, partnerships, and community initiatives.
- Supervise performance marketing initiatives with external partners.
- Balance growth, profitability, and brand integrity in all acquisition efforts.
- Monitor and optimize key performance metrics including CAC, ROAS, LTV, retention, and cohort performance .
- Identify new growth opportunities across markets and digital channels.
- Own and evolve blackcrows’ digital ecosystem , with Shopify at its core.
- Oversee CRM infrastructure, payments, analytics, OMS integrations, and third‑party tools.
- Work closely with external technical resources to define the digital roadmap, architecture, and priorities .
- Ensure the platform remains scalable, reliable, secure, and data‑driven .
- Act as the business owner translating commercial and customer needs into technical priorities .
5. CRM & Customer Lifecycle
- Drive retention, repeat purchase, and customer lifetime value through best‑in‑class CRM and lifecycle strategies.
- Oversee CRM execution and lifecycle marketing initiatives.
- Ensure CRM is fully integrated into the commercial calendar and brand storytelling .
- Leverage customer data and insights to inform product, marketing, and experience decisions .
Success in the role (12-18 months)
- Accelerate e‑commerce as a significant and fast‑growing revenue channel
- Build a scalable and high‑performing digital ecosystem
- Deliver a seamless, premium omnichannel customer experience
- Strengthen data capabilities and performance visibility
Profile
We are looking for a leader who combines strategic thinking, operational excellence, and strong brand sensitivity .
Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in digital commerce / e‑commerce roles
- Strong experience in DTC consumer brands , preferably in premium, outdoor, sports, or lifestyle industries
- Proven experience scaling Shopify ecosystems
- Strong understanding of digital acquisition, retention, loyalty, and performance marketing
- Experience managing cross‑functional projects across tech, marketing, and operations
Skills
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset , with a clear focus on performance and outcomes
- Ability to translate brand vision into commercial execution
- Deep understanding of digital customer journeys and performance levers
- Comfortable working in entrepreneurial environments
