About the Company

Agriodor is an innovative, impact‑driven, multi‑award‑winning SME founded in 2019. We research the relationship between crop pest insects and plants, and have patented solutions based on Kairomones and Allomones that significantly reduce the use of phytosanitary products, benefiting biodiversity. The company holds the French Tech 2030 label , has already signed two distribution contracts, and is expanding its target insect and crop portfolio to include beet, potato, fruit trees (stone fruits and apples), berries, tropical fruits, and soon maize, soybean and cotton.

Role Overview

The Data Scientist will lead the development, management, and utilization of Agriodor’s proprietary and external datasets to support R&D teams (chemistry, entomology, agronomy, formulation) and other functions such as marketing. The objectives are to ensure data‑driven decision‑making across the company, develop robust data analysis practices, prepare the data architecture for future AI/ML applications, and support the deployment of domain‑relevant AI tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Agriodor’s database, deploying best practices for data architecture, quality, integrity, security, and compliance.
• Set protocols to cleanse historical data and ensure proper collection of all relevant data.
• Train and empower teams to use data tools effectively.
• Integrate external datasets (agronomic, environmental, entomological, literature, climate) and design scalable data structures for future AI deployment.
• Provide data extracts and training to teams to enable autonomous analytical work.
• Develop new data analysis methods (data science or biostatistics) and collaborate on experimental design to ensure statistical robustness.
• Support internal reporting, publications, regulatory dossiers, and statistical literacy initiatives.
• Conceive Proof‑of‑Concepts and Minimum Viable Products for AI solutions.
• Support deployment of LLM and AI tools for R&D and other functions, and assist teams in creating their own agents.
• Contribute to the long‑term digital strategy, including predictive modeling with AI/ML.

Profile & Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data management, data science, and statistical analysis.
• Entry‑level experience with AI/agents.
• Experience in life sciences is appreciated.
• Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or a related field.
• Expertise in experimental design, advanced statistical modeling, and analysis.
• Proficiency with databases (SQL / No SQL), R, Python, SAS, and visualization tools.
• Familiarity with ML frameworks (scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Strong analytical mindset, rigor, autonomy, teamwork, and communication skills.
