Head of Strategic Communications – Paris HQ – Role can be fully remote – Up to €175k depending on experience – English & French Speaking
Head of Strategic Communications needed to join a first-if-its kind newly established philanthropic organisation shaping the AI ecosystem, prioritising outcomes that matter to people and communities, with transparent and equity as its core.
The Head of Strategic Communications will build and lead their communications function from the ground up, this is a foundational role for a hands‑on leader who can design communications infrastructure, shape a compelling global narrative and deliver high‑impact execution day to day. You will own the full communications agenda—working closely with senior leadership and managing an external agency—to position our client not just as an organisation, but as the centre of a growing global movement.
This role requires someone highly solution‑oriented, equally comfortable in strategy and delivery. You will create the systems, messaging, and channels that bring clarity to complex ideas, elevate partner work, and build credibility with global stakeholders. From major announcements to ongoing storytelling, you will ensure a consistent, resonant voice across all audiences.
- Proven experience building communications functions or infrastructure from scratch
- Strong track record of owning and delivering end‑to‑end communications strategy
- Experience managing external agency relationships
- Exceptional storytelling and writing skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics
- A proactive and hands‑on approach
- Comfortable operating across strategy and execution in a fast‑moving environment
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams
- Strong media relations experience across international, tech, or policy landscapes
- Experience in or knowledge of the AI, technology, or public policy sectors
