Job Overview

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Hardware Methods Manager (m/f) to join the Electronics Product Team based in Toulouse, France.

Avionics and Simulation organization is an in‑house supplier of avionics equipment and simulators. Engineers in this domain are responsible for the design, development, production and support of critical embedded products (e.g. flight controls, flight warning, communication, maintenance equipment) for all Airbus aircraft. The selected candidate will be part of the team in charge of defining and updating methods and certification used by all Airbus teams, covering end‑to‑end activities.

Responsibilities

  1. Definition and support of processes & methods: Ensure the application of electronic certification requirements (DO254 / ED80, CRIx‑IMx), standard requirements (EN9100 / ISO9001), and Airbus directives (ABD0100); provide training to users; define and guarantee deployment of engineering requirements into electronic boards and equipment development.
  2. Support certification life‑cycle: Support Hardware Project Leader and Design Teams in breaking down the referential into the Hardware Development Plan; conduct validation and verification activities; manage configuration aspects; participate in developing/updating the Plan for Material Aspects of Certification; contribute to final certification document.
  3. Benchmark and improvement: Benchmark practices and provide ideas for simplification of processes and methods.

Qualifications

  • 5‑year degree (or equivalent) in Engineering. Knowledge in electronics is a plus.
  • Methods experience in aeronautical systems/equipment on critical equipment (DO 254 / DAL A etc.).
  • Strong communication skills (interface with all types of stakeholders).
  • Problem‑solving skills.
  • Solution oriented mindset.
  • Proficient negotiation in French and English.
