Job Summary
This entry-level role is for physicists, geophysicists or mathematicians looking for a career where they can continue to develop their scientific skills and knowledge in a commercial environment where their work will have real‑world impacts. Our Imaging specialists process huge volumes of seismic data through complex signal processing, modelling and imaging workflows to generate high‑resolution subsurface images and models primarily for clients in the energy industry.
About The Team
We are a diverse and dynamic group of close to hundreds of geophysicists, research and operation staff, based in France with strong relations with our colleagues sitting across various regions such as UK, Singapore, Brazil, US. We use the latest signal processing, modelling and imaging techniques and among the most advanced compute facilities in the world to build high‑resolution 3D images and models of subsurface structure. Beyond imaging, we transform seismic data into quantitative rock‑property models, helping our clients better understand subsurface characteristics and make informed decisions. You can expect to develop expertise in the fields of signal processing, modelling and imaging; and gain awareness of wider developments in the fields of geoscience and data science.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and analyze seismic data to produce accurate 3D subsurface images
- Test and optimize workflows to improve imaging accuracy, computational performance, and data quality
- Build and maintain long‑term client relationships through service excellence
- Manage complex technical projects with multiple short‑ and long‑term deadlines
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and clients
- Show cultural awareness through training and interaction with globally diverse clients and teams
- Develop leadership and management skills to contribute to the development of others; pursue opportunities to publish papers and present at industry conferences
Qualifications
- Fresh graduates with a Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Geophysics, or Mathematics with 0‑2 years of professional experience.
- Analytical approach to problem solving
- Technical knowledge in applied mathematics or physics
- Enthusiastic attitude towards learning and passion for your subject
- Technical agility to adapt your existing knowledge to a new field
- Ability to communicate technical concepts
No prior knowledge of geophysics or geology is expected or required.
