Context
Within the Insurance Department of the Europ Assistance Group, you will contribute to the development and manage the profitability of the International portfolio of the Europ Assistance Group.
Responsibilities
Pricing of international tenders
- Promoting and enhancing pricing & underwriting excellence throughout the Group
- Structuring pricing process and performing underwriting analysis for the P&C LoBs (Auto, Travel, Home&Family and Health)
- Defining pricing of international contracts and tenders ensuring a high-quality technical pricing process through an effective cooperation among stakeholders involved (e.g. sales department, Group companies)
- Develop and maintain pricing segmentation models using (GLMs) and other advanced actuarial techniques.
- Continuously improve existing pricing models and develop new models to enhance risk assessment and underwriting decisions.
Steer profitability of the portfolio of our international contracts through
- Work with the data teams to further improve existing data and availability to the technical team
- Industrialization of technical follow up / reporting of frequencies, average costs, … (automation of profitability monitoring dashboards)
- Technical analysis by product and market
- Definition of pricing adjustments where applicable or other levers to steer profitability
- Coordinate with the Irish Branch of the Europ Assistance Group to share analyses on the profitability of the Travel International portfolio.
- Accompany the sales teams to present technical performance of the program during Annual Business Reviews
Steer other group transversal initiatives on profitability
- Contribute to the Pricing sophistication efforts across the Group, leveraging GLM models and AI driven tools to drive best in class pricing actions and segmentation
- Contribute to Group initiatives related to Product and Pricing Standardization, two key pre-requisites for the implementation of the new core insurance platform
- Challenge action plans taken by local EA entities on their unprofitable accounts

Education or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or related area.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
- You have a strong technical background in actuarial science or insurance.
- Your technical knowledge has been supplemented by 5-10 years of prior experience in the underwriting of property and casualty insurance business
- You are willing to work in an international environment in close collaboration with the commercial team and willing to be exposed to our partners
- You have a good level of English (the Group's language of exchange)
- Good R / Python or other statistical tool skills
- Organized and autonomous: you will have to manage different topics and activities at the same time
- Excellent analysis and synthesis capabilities; ability to communicate technical results to an audience with a different background
- Proactive and relationship building oriented, driven by curiosity and personal initiative
