Global Sales & Business Development Director – E-Mobility Battery Systems – Railway Industry

e-mobility systems
, is creating a dedicated division for
onboard battery systems
in the railway sector worldwide. This initiative reflects the company's commitment to
sustainability, e-mobility, and the electrification of global transport
.

We are recruiting a:

Global Sales & Business Development Director – E-Mobility Battery Systems – Railway Industry

Your Mission :
Reporting directly to the Head of the BU , you will ( not limited to ) :

  • Define and implement the
    global sales & business development strategy
    for the Railway Battery Division, including lithium-ion technologies.
  • Expand business across
    Western Europe (Germany, France, Spain…), Eastern Europe, India, China, and the Americas
    , leveraging strong industrial partnerships.
  • Lead and inspire an
    international team
    of sales managers, application engineers…
  • Build and strengthen
    strategic partnerships
    with railway OEMs, system integrators, and Tier-1 suppliers.
  • Promote
    innovative lithium-ion solutions
    with clear advantages in performance, safety, sustainability, and competitiveness.
  • Manage the full business cycle: tenders, negotiations, long-term contracts, and strategic alliances.
  • Monitor
    global and regional competition
    to stay ahead of market trends.
  • Act as the
    voice of the customer
    towards R&D and the Executive Committee.

Candidate Profile

  • University degree in engineering, commerce, or equivalent; MBA welcome.
  • 10+ years' experience
    in international sales & business development, ideally in railway e-mobility, powertrain solutions, batteries, converters, hydrogen & fuel cells, or other heavy-duty e-mobility industries (truck, bus, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of
    complex industrial sales cycles
    , project-mode environments, and OEM/Tier-1 as well as system integrator dynamics.
  • Strong connections and/or lobbying experience
    within the railway industry, particularly regarding e-mobility and new energy applications is a plus
  • Proven ability to
    lead multicultural teams
    in international environments.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the capacity to
    scale a fast-growing business
    .
  • Fluent in English; French or another major European language is a plus.
  • Based in
    Western Europe
    with international mobility – Paris , France being a preferred option
