Our client is seeking an experienced Global Digital Transformation Lead – Commercial to partner with senior business stakeholders and drive the technology strategy, roadmap, and delivery across a global commercial/procurement function.
This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, acting as a trusted advisor to functional leadership teams whilst shaping and delivering digital capabilities that support long-term business objectives. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying opportunities for improvement, defining strategic roadmaps, and ensuring successful execution of technology initiatives across a complex international environment.
This is a long-term contract opportunity within a global organisation, offering a hybrid working model. Whilst flexible, the client would ideally like someone able to spend time on-site in the South of France on a regular basis to work closely with business and technology leadership teams.
The Global Digital Transformation Lead will be responsible for
- Partnering with senior business leaders to define and execute technology strategies aligned to functional objectives
- Assessing current capabilities and identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and ways of working
- Developing business cases, roadmaps, and investment plans to support strategic initiatives
- Leading the delivery and deployment of global technology capabilities across multiple regions
- Managing a portfolio of projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment between business priorities and technology investments
- Collaborating with architecture, security, data, and operations teams to drive effective technology decisions
- Overseeing the lifecycle of digital products and platforms, from strategy and implementation through to ongoing optimisation
- Driving stakeholder engagement and influencing senior decision-makers across a global organisation
- Monitoring programme performance, budgets, benefits realisation, and overall value delivery
- Identifying innovation opportunities and supporting the adoption of new technologies where appropriate
The ideal candidate will have
- Strong experience leading business technology or digital transformation initiatives within large, complex organisations
- Previous exposure to commercial, procurement, sourcing, supplier management, or purchase-to-pay environments
- Experience developing and delivering digital strategies, roadmaps, and transformation programmes
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior leadership teams
- Experience managing technology portfolios, budgets, and investment planning
- Understanding of enterprise applications, integrations, data, and digital product lifecycles
- Experience operating within international and multi-functional environments
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced and evolving organisations
