Global Corporate Communications Director
As part of the Global Group Marketing & Communications team, you will drive the company’s corporate communications strategy, increase brand visibility, strengthen reputation, and align internal and external communications with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Communication Strategy
- Develop and execute a cohesive global corporate communications strategy, including plans, frameworks, and processes aligned with the company’s mission, vision, and values.
- Ensure consistent deployment across all levels of the organization, both globally and locally.
- Support the development of performance‑related communications in close collaboration with Corporate Development and Finance teams.
- Define and deliver clear, compelling corporate messaging for internal and external audiences, ensuring consistency in tone, positioning, and narrative across all channels.
Crisis Communication
- Design and implement crisis communication plans and guidelines to manage sensitive situations with transparency, speed, and accuracy.
- Lead high‑stakes communication efforts, including message development, and oversee effective engagement with all key stakeholders during crises.
Public & Media Relations (oversight)
- Oversee the development and execution of media and public relations strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media, journalists, and influencers to ensure accurate and positive coverage.
- Supervise press activities, including releases, media events, and PR initiatives, to enhance corporate visibility and reputation.
- Lead the internal communications strategy to inform, engage, and inspire employees globally.
- Promote alignment with the company’s strategy, vision, and values, fostering a strong sense of purpose and belonging.
- Oversee the communication of key initiatives, including HR programs, in close collaboration with HR teams.
- Work closely with the CSR team to support internal and external communication of CSR initiatives, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.
Stakeholder Engagement (in collaboration)
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify, prioritize, and address the communication needs of diverse stakeholders, including customers, partners, and employees.
Digital Communication (in collaboration)
- Partner with the Digital Marketing & Branding team to amplify corporate messaging and increase reach and engagement across digital platforms and social media channels.
Metrics and Performance Analysis
- Define and monitor key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of communication initiatives.
- Leverage data‑driven insights to optimize strategies, enhance impact, and drive continuous improvement.
Team Leadership & Budget Management
- Lead and develop a team of four senior communications staff and oversee external consultants and agencies.
- Provide functional guidance to local communications teams and PR freelancers within a matrix organization.
- Manage corporate and internal communications budgets effectively, ensuring strategic allocation of resources aligned with business priorities.
Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in corporate and brand communications or related roles, ideally within a mid‑cap company or similar environment.
Leadership & Management: Proven track record of success in a leadership role including team management and ability to work in a matrix operating and international environment.
Industry Knowledge
- Experience in an industry requiring education of a diverse range of stakeholders on what is at stake and the opportunities of these sectors.
- Understanding of the music/digital/tech industry landscape, trends, and challenges is a plus.
- Strategic thinker: Ability to think critically and develop communication strategies that align with the company's organizational and business objectives.
Excellent Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in French and English, with an eye for detail and the ability to craft engaging content for various audiences.
Relationship & Networking: Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and sustain positive relationships with internal company leaders and teams, as well as external stakeholders (including media and partners).
Change Management: Experience in driving effective communication during periods of organizational change or growth.
Digital Savvy: Familiarity with digital communication platforms, social media, communication analytics and emerging trends in corporate communication.
