Context
In the Group communication department, as part of the External Corporate team and with a direct report to the Head of External Communication & Global Content, the External Corporate Apprentice will play a key role in promoting the company’s strategy and its disruptive convictions. This role involves crafting and disseminating clear, consistent, and engaging external communications to ensure that our external targets are engaged and informed about the company’s strategy and news. He/she will work closely with the Corporate Communication team (collaboration with both External and Internal Communication co-workers).
Responsibilities
- Content creation: creating, publishing and distributing high-quality content across various platforms, as part of the Content Factory team. This includes coordinating external agencies and providers, ensuring that all content is on-brand and aligned with the company’s overall strategy. Close work with the Social & Digital Content Manager and the Webmaster. Ensure communication consistency across the Group, contributing to the animation and coordination of the Nexans communication community.
- Key role for the Fondation Nexans’ communication: plan, organize and execute successful communication plans to promote the Foundation actions around the world (first Corporate Foundation dedicated to serving the public interest, in the cabling sector, having supported over 145 projects all over the world and benefiting more than 2.2 million people). Work closely with the Foundation project manager, with a network of international contacts and with the Social & Digital Content Manager to ensure a consistent communication across all our platforms (social media, website…).
- Company outreach and social commitments: promote our different actions of patronage and sponsorships, where Nexans’ expertise in sustainable electrification serves the public good: climate change and cultural heritage.
- Events organization: plan, organize and execute successful communication events, such as general assemblies, thought leadership events/debates, press events. This includes managing all aspects of the event planning process, from initial concept development to post-event evaluation.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Strong communicator with a logical, structured, clear and mature style
- Willingness to participate in any topic in Communication
- Hyper-collaborative, autonomous, organized, proactive and adaptable
- Detail-oriented, able to work under tight deadlines and learn quickly
- Excellent oral and written communication (fluent in both French and English - mandatory)
- Strong visual design sensibilities
- Appetite for innovation and creativity
- Up-to-date knowledge of and genuine interest in content strategies
- Ability to drive events independently in fast-paced and international environments, with regular interactions with different stakeholders
- Positive mindset with a “learning never stops” attitude
- High interest for CSR commitments
- Business and/or Communication graduate degree (M1/M2 level)
