Global Category Manager Raw Material

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the sourcing strategy for metal or plastic raw materials that supports the company's growth.
• Manage policies and processes for purchasing the raw materials needed for manufacturing products, research, or other business activities.
• Monitor, analyze and anticipate the raw materials market, global economic conditions, and events to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Oversee tenders and contract negotiations to secure the best prices to meet raw material needs.
• Strategic support to the main internal stakeholders to ensure our inventory levels targets and manufacturing needs.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards governing the purchase and delivery of goods.

Qualifications:

• You have a University degree in business management, supply chain management, or equivalent and 5+ years of experience in a category management position, preferably in the field of metal raw materials.
• You must be fluent in English and ideally in German and have Knowledge of SAP and category strategies.
• You demonstrate strong negotiation and contract management skills, ability to collect and analyse information, solve problems, and make decisions based on this analysis.
• You are able to analyse and evaluate complex situations, anticipate potential challenges, and develop long-term plans to achieve objectives. You demonstrate a change-driven leadership with a growth mindset, resilience management to react and be proactive in preventing crises.
