Global Category Director - Cosmetic Ingredients

Your role

Role based either in Clichy (France) or Holzminden (Germany).

We are looking for a Global Category Director - Hair Care to lead the global Hair Care ingredient portfolio within our Advanced Actives Business Unit.

This is a senior, strategic role combining category leadership, people management, innovation strategy, and P&L ownership in a dynamic global cosmetics ingredients' environment.

Your Mission

• Set and own the global Hair Care category strategy (short-, mid- & long-term)
• Lead and coach 2 Product Managers
• Drive portfolio performance and profitability
• Steer innovation from concept to launch in close collaboration with R&D
• Monitor market trends to keep the portfolio competitive and future-ready

Key Accountabilities

• P&L Performance: Delivery of revenue, margin, and profitability targets
• Innovation Impact: ROI, success rate, and timely execution of new product launches
• Portfolio: Inventory levels, SKU rationalisation, and lifecycle management
• Team Performance: Output, engagement, and retention of team members

Your profile

• Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or related sciences
• Minimum 8-10 years' experience in the cosmetics industry mandatory
• Successful experience in Product Management of a Cosmetic Ingredients portfolio
• Strong business mindset & strategic thinking
• Collaborative and comfortable in a global, matrix organization
• Hair care expertise is a strong plus
• Fluent English mandatory, French and/or German will be an advantage
• Travels required: around 10-20%
