Overview

The Claims Associate will handle high‑complexity claims, investigating causation, determining coverage, and exercising judgment on significant financial impact to Turo and its hosts.

What you will do

• Use expertise to investigate high‑financial‑impact claims.
• Interpret policies, determine investigation methods, interview customers, assess credibility, analyze damages, and decide host eligibility for Protection.
• Communicate with customers to gather information, explain coverage, and negotiate resolutions.
• Make recommendations for escalation, review Fair Claims, and present to arbitration.
• Exercise discretion to waive or make exceptions when warranted.
• Participate in special projects, improvement actions, or business changes, including process recommendations and KPI development.
• Attend meetings, huddles, 1x1s, and training.
• Perform other related tasks as directed.

• Proficient in reviewing and evaluating estimates; strong collision damage theory knowledge.
• Clear, professional, empathetic communication in French.
• Strong written and verbal customer‑service communication in English.
• Multitasking across technical platforms (macOS, Google Docs).
• Minimum two years’ customer‑relations experience; bonus one year of auto claims experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Fluency in English for recruitment process.

Salary and benefits

Target base salary for Paris: €33,000–€41,000 per year. Includes stock grants and benefits.

Hybrid work model

Employees are expected in the office three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday). Minimum in‑office presence is essential for this role.
