Geomatics and Spatial Statistics Technician (M/F)

The position
As part of our client’s Digital Resources Department, you will be involved in the entire geographic data lifecycle, following established production procedures. You will comply with the information system security policy in effect within the DRN.
The duties associated with this position will be as follows:
- Provide cartographic services for publishing (statistical maps),
- Update the document database,
- Run the demographic projection model and generate a summary of the results,
- Update ESRI applications such as Dashboard and Storymap,
- Develop statistical and geospatial calculation algorithms and document them,
- Perform cross-tabulation analyses,
- Create and manage geographic information (model, integrate, document, catalog, update),
- Provide cartographic publishing services,
- Produce web maps to enhance the GIS platform across multiple end devices: desktop computers, mobile devices, and smartphones
- Use geographic data to perform analyses, data extraction, queries, and statistics, and to create thematic maps
- Source, retrieve, and evaluate data quality based on the data source.
Examples of deliverables:
- Data integration into the geographic data warehouse,
- Map production,
- Geocoding performed according to an established protocol
- Ensure regular reporting,
- Organize and lead the committees necessary for the successful completion of the mission.
Profile required
As a geomatics graduate, you haveat least 3 years of experience in digital geography, including initial experience in geomatics.
- Proficiency in ESRI (ArgisPro) and open-source (QGIS) tools
- Master's Degree from ArcOpole
- Autodesk Operations
- Working with FME
- Technical knowledge of database query languages (SQL, ApiRest, etc.),
- Strong ability to work as part of a team,
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Access, Excel, Word), Sphinx, Qlicksense, and PowerBI for statistical analysis.
