General Accountant

We are currently supporting an international company in the recruitment of a General Accountant to join its Finance team based in Arcueil.

This position offers a broad accounting scope within an international environment, with exposure to monthly closings, reporting activities and interactions with multiple internal stakeholders.

Main responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations (AP, AR, bank accounting, treasury)
• Prepare and participate in monthly closings
• Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
• Process supplier invoices and customer payments
• Prepare VAT declarations and support tax‑related activities
• Maintain fixed assets and accounting documentation
• Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders when required
• Contribute to process improvements and finance‑related projects

Profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in general accounting
• Experience in an international environment is a plus
• Good understanding of accounting principles and monthly closing processes
• Comfortable using ERP systems and Excel
• Hands‑on, autonomous and detail‑oriented mindset
