General Accountant

ANINE BING is looking for a General Accountan t to join our Finance team based in Paris.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with a structured, autonomous approach to the close cycle and is energized by working in an international, multi-entity environment.

Reporting to the AP & General Accounting Manager, the General Accountant plays a central role in the production of accurate, timely accounts across our directly-managed entities — France, the UK, the US and other EU markets.

This is a hybrid position based at our Paris HQ, with one remote day per week (Wednesday or Friday). The role reports to the AP & General Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

Own the monthly and annual close for assigned entities: journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments.

Manage intercompany bookings and reconciliations across entities.

Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules for the close package and for statutory audits.

Contribute to the preparation of VAT, DEB/DES and other regular tax filings, in coordination with the AP & General Accounting Manager.

Support process and tooling improvements (ERP, automation, expense management) to scale the close cycle.

Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Retail, HQ) to ensure accurate booking of business transactions.
