Business Unit Overview

The Short Term Interest Rate Sales desk in Paris covers a wide variety of institutional clients for front‑end rates, cash & secured and unsecured financing products. Salespeople on the desk work closely with traders from the global repo, financing, rates and commercial paper trading desks. They bring a broad macroeconomic perspective and specialize in the intricacies of global financing markets as well as the firm’s own balance sheet strategy.

How You Will Fulfil Your Potential

• Maintain and build strong relationships with clients (Benelux Area), traders and strategists.
• Filter the wealth of available information to provide clients with services relevant to their business.
• Develop trade ideas with support from trading and research teams.
• Contribute to product enhancement by providing direct input into enhancing the GS offering, collecting market intelligence, generating ideas, and prioritising projects.
• Consolidate data by collecting, analysing and distributing information to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure the operational stability of the business and collaborate effectively with banking, operations, risk, compliance and other control units.

Skills And Experiences We Are Looking For

• Experience in financial services or investment banking.
• Product knowledge of Rates and Repo markets.
• Experience generating market insights and providing market colour to colleagues and clients.
• Proven ability to work within a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with quick learning ability.
• Ability to multitask, manage multiple client expectations and competing priorities calmly.
• Fluency in French.
