ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
France Country Compliance Lead (CCL) role is responsible for overseeing the implementation of Pfizer’s compliance program in France and cluster; leading and supporting key proactive and strategic initiatives to assess and mitigate global risks across the country and cluster; supporting, as needed, risk management initiatives focused on global or regional risks relevant to Pfizer.
Be the Compliance Leader
Develops and drives France compliance and risk program, including through development of a plan addressing the market’s risk profile. Overall responsible for an effective compliance program designed to prevent and detect systematic non-compliance and drive ownership of compliance.
Culture of Compliance
Develop a comprehensive strategy and operational approach to establish a culture of accountability, integrity, and compliance to prevent systemic non-compliance across France. Implement or coordinate integrity culture-related resources and communication, including updating business leadership on ongoing environment and emerging risks, cultural challenges, significant compliance developments, and global compliance initiatives.
Governance
Oversee local risk management governance to ensure effective risk‑management oversight, assessment, and prioritization of quality and compliance risks. Chair and coordinate cross‑functional risk management forums and represent Pfizer’s ethical priorities before external stakeholders.
Risk Assessment
Guide the execution of annual risk assessments to support local risk prioritization; contribute to the development of a strategic direction for above‑market compliance mitigation activities based on assessment results.
Policies and Training
Support implementation of corporate and divisional policies and procedures within business units and develop regional/local specific guidance or policies as needed. Partner with SMEs to identify policy and training needs and implement an effective training framework.
Monitoring
Identify monitoring needs in line with local risk assessment and coordinate or execute monitoring plans.
Corrective Action
Collaborate with investigations, monitoring, audit, and other risk management functions to develop and implement corrective actions and remediation steps.
Third Party Support
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure proper policies and oversight structures are in place to identify and mitigate risks related to third parties, including business development transactions.
Artificial Intelligence and Scalable Risk Management Practices
Lead evolution of the market compliance program toward scalable AI, data‑ and technology‑enabled risk identification, monitoring, and advisory models. Provide strategic oversight for emerging technology, digital, data, and AI‑related compliance risks.
Global Compliance Division or France Markets Priority Implementation
Coordinate with stakeholders to implement key divisional or cluster priorities and support localization of global risk area solutions.
Lead or Support for Global/Regional Risk Management and Cluster
When assigned, lead cluster compliance program and support initiatives designed to identify, mitigate, and/or monitor emerging or established risks on a global or cluster level.
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in Law, Finance, Business, Medicine, or Science with strong academic background
- 10+ years professional experience in Compliance, Legal, Finance, Commercial, or Business Operations
- Understanding of the US FCPA, local regulatory environments, and relevant codes of practice, guidelines, and regulations
- Track record of developing meaningful solutions and appropriate controls for innovative business initiatives
- Fluent French language skill is a MUST

- Strong communication skills to drive and message compliance culture as a leader
- Ability to understand local culture and sensibilities and to communicate effectively in a global environment
- Ability to prioritize time and resources
- Self‑directed; ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team to resolve complex matters
- Understanding of principles of escalation and independence
The role is a hybrid role. The colleague is expected to work onsite and may log in for work days as per company policy. Business travel is expected at 10% or less within France and Europe.
