Founding Builder
This is a hands-on, cross-functional builder role. The person owns client projects from understanding the business through to shipping in production, and also turns repeated pain points into reusable internal tools like agents and automations. A strong candidate has a few years of real experience, is comfortable from front end to deployment, can read and fix AI-generated code, and keeps several projects moving at once while talking clearly with both leaders and frontline users.
How it fits the AI era
AI is central here. Coding assistants, agents and LLM workflows do much of the drafting for specs, code and tests, so the value shifts to judging output, catching mistakes and making systems safe to run in production. What stays human is listening to clients, deciding what is worth building, saying no when a request does not fit, and taking ownership when something goes wrong.
How it builds AI experience
The work touches real AI products, including tools for journalists such as news monitoring and multimodal search, plus document quality control and an internal tool that prepares tender responses. Someone in this role would get practical experience with agents, retrieval systems and automation inside client delivery. To prepare, build a small agent or retrieval project, publish it, and be ready to explain what worked and what broke.
Worth showing
