About the role
We're hiring a founding team member to sit within the Founder's Office and own brand partnerships across the French market. This is not a sales role and it's not a comms role - it's a strategic seat for someone who knows French fashion from the inside and can open the doors, shape the deals, and build the relationships that define how we show up in this market.
You’ll work directly with the founders, own our partnerships strategy in France, and be one of the faces of the company in the French fashion ecosystem. Because this role exists to fill domain expertise on our founding team, you’ll have unusual influence over what we build, how we go to market, and who we work with.
What you’ll own
- Building and owning relationships with French fashion houses, maisons, multi-brand retailers, and emerging designers
- Opening doors with buyers, press, PR agencies, ateliers, and the broader Paris fashion ecosystem
- Negotiating and closing strategic partnership deals end to end
- Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and Fashion Weeks
- Shaping our French go-to-market alongside the founders, including positioning, pricing, and partner selection
- Acting as the internal voice of the French market - informing product, brand, and strategy decisions
- Hiring and shaping the partnerships function as we scale in France and continental Europe
Who you are
- 6+ years in the French fashion industry, with a real network across brands, retail, press, or agencies
- Track record of closing significant partnership, BD, or commercial deals in fashion
- Deep, instinctive understanding of how the French fashion world actually works - its rhythms, hierarchies, and unwritten rules
- Fluent in both English and French; comfortable working across both languages daily
- Paris-based or willing to relocate
- Comfortable with the ambiguity of an early-stage company - you build the playbook rather than execute one
- Founder mindset: you want ownership, equity, and influence over outcomes, not just a senior title
Nice to have
- Existing relationships at fashion, luxury brands and trend forecasting agencies or comparable institutions
- Experience working with either fashion brands or in a founding or early-stage role
- A third European language (Italian, Spanish, German)
