Overview

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Processes, Methods & Tools Manager (f/m) to join the Customer Services Department within Airbus Flight Hour Services (FHS) based in Toulouse, France. The position is part of the FHS department, which designs and delivers powered‑by‑the‑hour guaranteed services to airline customers, including component supply, repair, reliability optimisation, aircraft maintenance/MRO and fleet engineering.

Responsibilities

You will be a key contributor within a global and cross‑functional team, acting as a Processes, Methods & Tools Manager and directly accountable for driving FHS inventory business contribution to the Material Management Industrialisation Platform (MMIP) transformation program.

Strategy & Requirement Ownership

  • Drive MMIP FHS inventory activities, shaping the vision, strategy and scope in collaboration with the Head of FHS Inventory Planning and the Head of FHS Inventory Acquisition.
  • Own the conversion of validated business needs into comprehensive functional and non‑functional requirements within the fit‑to‑standard methodology, ensuring clear communication and traceability.
  • Identify and champion opportunities for significant business transformation and process improvement, leveraging strategic technologies such as SAP S/4HANA, IBP, and other innovative digital solutions (e.g., Skywise, Salesforce, Generative AI).
  • Serve as the primary business process representative, combining a deep end‑to‑end understanding of existing customer business and processes with expert knowledge of digital solution opportunities.

Business Value, Impact & Compliance

  • Ensure evolving business and customer compliance needs are demonstrated and fulfilled.
  • Deliver quantifiable value assessments for all proposed improvements and solutions, challenge the status quo, and evaluate the impact in terms of change management and mitigation actions.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the mandated liaison between Project Management teams, business functional managers and subject matter experts, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery continuity with Airbus IT/Digital community.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Information Systems or Supply Chain.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in airline materiel management, spares procurement or spares engineering, with a focus on aviation component acquisition/procurement, inventory optimisation, forecast and planning.
  • Proven experience deploying, administering and supporting state‑of‑the‑art material management systems: SAP S4 and inventory optimisation tools: IBP, Servigistics.
  • Project management experience in deploying and maintaining such technologies.
  • Ability to drive changes/improvements and implement them within the organization.

  • Very good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a transnational environment (worldwide team).
  • Autonomous with a strong understanding of the global picture while paying attention to detail.
  • Willingness to help and support others and possess strong teaching/coaching capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, to negotiate, influence decisions and take initiatives.
