Finance Manager

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join Escape and play a key role in structuring and scaling the company’s financial operations as we grow following our Series A stage .

This role is critical to ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning in a fast‑growing international environment. You will work closely with leadership and external partners to manage financial reporting, budgeting, and tax optimization, while coordinating with US and French accountants to ensure smooth cross‑border financial operations.

This position will be central to closing the financial year, building financial dashboards, managing budgeting and reporting, structuring R&D allocations.

• You will be joining the Operations Team, that is of today the founders and our Operations Coordinator? You will work closely with leadership, operations, and external finance partners (US & French accounting firms).

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Closing & Accounting Coordination – Lead and coordinate the annual financial closing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Work closely with US and French accountants to align reporting standards, reconciliations, and tax requirements.
• Budgeting & Financial Planning – Develop and maintain company budgets and financial forecasts. Track financial performance and provide insights to leadership to support decision‑making.
• Financial Reporting & Dashboards – Build and maintain financial dashboards and reporting frameworks to monitor company performance, KPIs, and operational metrics. Deliver structured reporting for leadership and investors.
• R&D Cost Allocation & Innovation Programs – Manage R&D cost allocations across projects and teams. Prepare and coordinate documentation for CIR (Crédit Impôt Recherche) and CII (Crédit Impôt Innovation) with external advisors.
• Operational Finance Management – Ensure efficient financial processes, documentation, and compliance across the organization. Support leadership with financial insights for operational and strategic initiatives.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Collaborate closely with leadership, operations, and external advisors to ensure strong financial governance and transparency.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3–6+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations, ideally in a startup or scale‑up environment.
• Experience working in Series A / VC‑backed companies or fast‑growing SaaS environments.
• Strong experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience coordinating with external accountants or international financial structures (US / France).
• Knowledge of French innovation tax programs (CIR/CII) or R&D tax incentives.
• Strong analytical skills and experience building financial dashboards and performance reporting.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating closely with leadership.
• Experience in B2B SaaS or tech companies is a strong plus.
