Summary
The Local Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the entity, ensuring accurate accounting, tax compliance, cash management, and internal controls. This role supports business execution by delivering reliable financial data, compliant processes, and efficient finance operations, while working closely with Head of Finance to support business decisions and company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily financial operations in a fast-growing company, including finance accounting, taxation, cashflow, budgeting and internal control aspects.
- Drive month/year-end closings, quarterly and annual planning, financial auditing and reporting, and provide financial advisory to leadership.
- Lead tax strategy and tax management with professional skills, execute timely filing, deadline tracking and compliance updates. Implement best-practice compliance process and proactively update procedures when regulation changes.
- Lead deployment of financial and tax software systems to automate routine tasks and elevate finance service quality.
- Work closely and communicate effectively with cross-function teams, internal financial teams and external partners, to support company growth, business operations and department performance for areas of responsibility.
- Design and deliver financial and tax training internally to empower the finance and commercial team.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in Big4 (or equivalent) or in-house corporate tax/accounting in automobile industry.
- DEC preferred, DSCG-qualified with evidence of hands-on tax compliance responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a dynamic, fast-paced and detail-driven environment.
