Field Service Engineer 4S EDG Engines

We are now looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team working for a better future. The preferred location for the position is in Surgères, France.

What you will be doing

As Field Service Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of technicians and perform preventive maintenance and repair operations on Wärtsilä emergency diesel engines installed in nuclear power plants.
• Act under the responsibility of a superintendent, to embody the superintendent authority during his absence.
• Participate in troubleshooting.
• Perform engines running test.
• Participate in the promotion of Wärtsilä brand.

The missions are carried out while respecting the applicable rules as regards Quality, Safety and Environment, in accordance with the commitment of Wärtsilä.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• Bachelor + 2 or other high school diploma
• Intermediate level of written and spoken English
• Deep knowledge of diesel engine mechanics (knowledge of Wärtsilä engines would be an advantage).
• 5 year-experience in the industrial Marine or Energy area (knowledge of nuclear sector would be an advantage).
• Precision and rigour, attention to Safety and Quality topics.
• Endurance, Flexibility, Autonomy
• Team spirit and good interpersonal skills
• Strong focus on process improvement
• Attentivity to the customer satisfaction
• Mobility (multi-week delegations)

In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 80% (France + Abroad).
