Exploration geologist

JOB SCOPE/DIMENSIONS

Job focus will be primarily one exploration project - Follow up of the drilling campaign of Saint Bauzile. 

The geologist will manage the contractor, proceed to the mapping of the quarry, logging of the drillholes, sampling, and analyzing the samples

He will be responsible of handling the safety of the drilling campaign

He will work in team with the technicien of the quarry, the geologists of Imerys

Specify percentage of domestic travel required: 10% if need to help Murat exploration campaign

Specify percentage of international travel required: 0%

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Exploration project:

• Manage the contractor in term of organisation and safety aspects
• Project manager for the follow up of the advancement of the drilling campaign (timing and budget)
• Assure the logging (geological, geotechnical, pictures)
• Assure the database completion with Imerys tools (IMAGO, MW Deposit and Leapfrog)
• Assure the sampling of the cores
• Support the lab analysis of the samples 

Other activities:

• As part of training purposes, the geologist will be involved in site projects such as grade control activities, modelling etc…
