European Business Development Consultant – Private Label Coffee (Freelance/Contract)

Cravium Gourmet is expanding its European footprint, and we are looking for a highly connected and dynamic Business Development Consultant to drive our Private Label coffee business. In this role, you will be the face of Cravium in Europe, projecting us as a premier, highly certified manufacturer of functional and flavoured coffee capsules and ground coffee from India.
This is a flexible, performance-driven engagement ideal for an entrepreneurial professional who thrives on opening doors, participating in expos, and closing private-label deals with major retail chains.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Leverage your existing network of FMCG and coffee category managers/buyers to generate leads and secure private label contracts with supermarket chains across Western and Southern Europe.
- Market Penetration: Actively engage in cold calling, relationship building, and traveling for in-person client meetings to drive revenue.
- Tenders & Onboarding: Identify and apply for European retail tenders. Lead the vendor registration and article creation processes (fully supported by our internal backend team for the heavy administrative lifting).
- Brand Representation: Co-represent Cravium alongside company directors at major European trade shows and expos.
- Strategic Reporting: Provide weekly updates on pipeline progression, market trends, competitor pricing, and strategic insights.
- Pipeline Management: Utilize CRM tools to track leads, negotiations, and closures efficiently.
Key Requirements
- Industry Network: Proven experience in FMCG sales with an active, established network of retail buyers and category managers in European supermarket chains (specifically Western and/or Southern Europe).
- Category Expertise: Deep understanding of the coffee category, ideally with direct exposure to the coffee capsule and ground coffee markets.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English (mandatory); proficiency in at least two additional European languages is highly preferred.
- Self-Starter Mindset: Willingness to travel for meetings, execute cold outreach, and work independently in a remote, consultative capacity.
- Technical Literacy: Comfortable using CRM software to manage the sales pipeline.
