Engineer Room Superintendent

Which company will you be joining as an Engine Room Superintendent – 2nd Engineer FSO (M/F)?

We are recruiting, on behalf of one of our clients, an Engine Room Superintendent – 2nd Engineer FSO for a 12-month mission in Brazil. This position follows a 5x5 offshore rotation schedule.

Engine Room Superintendent – 2nd Engine FSO (M/F) – What will your missions and responsibilities be?

• Supervise the engine room operations on the FSO, ensuring safe and efficient running of all machinery and auxiliary systems
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors and onboard teams, ensuring compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) and safety procedures
• Monitor and maintain rotating equipment, pumps, and generators, supporting operational performance and reporting to the Chief Engineer

What profile and skills are required for this Engine Room Superintendent – 2nd Engineer FSO (M/F) role?

Minimum Certifications Required

• Seaman's Book (mandatory)
• STCW Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (mandatory)
• BOSIET / FOET with CA-EBS
• HUET
• Offshore Medical Fitness Certificate (ENG1 or equivalent)
• Advanced Oil Tanker Certificate (STCW V/1-2)
• OPITO MIST or equivalent

Experience

• Proven experience as Engine Room Supervisor or 2nd/Chief Engineer on FPSO or FSO
• Familiarity with rotating equipment, pumps, generators, and auxiliary systems
• Knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) systems
• Subcontractor and team supervision experience

Languages

• English – Fluent (working language)
