d2m Services is recruiting on behalf of a major international maritime operator – Superintendent (Cable Ship Specialty)

We are looking for a Superintendent to primarily oversee cable ships , ensuring their performance, safety, and operational excellence.

Your missions

• Manage technical and financial aspects: budgets, orders, and supply optimization, focused on cable systems.
• Supervise operations: port calls, dry-docking, contractor coordination, and quality/cost monitoring.
• Ensure compliance and safety: HSE and ISM standards, annual inspections, class surveys, and liaison with authorities.
• Operational follow-up: onboard visits, monitoring cable systems, and technical/financial reporting.

Your profile

• Engineering degree (mechanical focus) or Captain/Chief Engineer certificate.
• ≥ 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or similar, ideally on specialized or cable ships.
• Proficient in IT tools, industrial automation, and Microsoft Office.
• Fluent in English and French .
• Rigorous, analytical, clear communicator, practical problem-solver.
• Experience or training in Gas or electrical systems is a plus.
• Permanent position in the Paris region, ~90–100 travel days/year.
• Integration into a strong technical team in a stimulating international environment.
