A major industrial manufacturing site specializing in transforming wheat into high‑value ingredients (sweeteners, proteins, starches and more) is seeking an EIA (Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation) Supervisor to strengthen its technical leadership team.
This is a key role for an experienced engineering professional who enjoys team management, technical excellence and driving continuous improvement in a highly automated production environment.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will act as both the technical expert and leader of the Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation team.
Your responsibilities include:
- Ensuring availability, reliability and compliance of all electrical, instrumentation and automation systems.
- Guaranteeing continuity of service for production equipment in a highly automated agri‑food environment .
- Leading preventive, corrective and regulatory maintenance across:
- HV/LV networks, switchboards, drives
- Process instrumentation (flows, pressures, temperatures, levels)
- Ensuring compliance with electrical and ATEX regulations.
- Managing lockouts/tagouts, electrical authorisations and live work procedures.
- Monitoring and improving performance and reliability KPIs.
- Contributing to automation development, backup management and program standardisation.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring safe execution of EIA tasks (procedures, PPE, ATEX areas, Arc Flash).
- Advocating for and developing a strong safety culture .
- Coaching and developing the EIA team (training, accreditations, versatility).
- Planning workload, on‑call schedules and production priorities.
- Coordinating external service providers and contractors.
Profile & Experience
You bring:
- BTS/DUT in electrical engineering with 10+ years of management experience
- OR BAC+5 in electrical engineering with 3+ years of leadership experience
- Experience in heavy or continuous industry (agro‑chemical, metallurgy, sugar, cement, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of:
- Automation & PLC systems
- Process instrumentation & metrology
- CMMS tools (ideally SAP )
- Technical English (for documentation and communication)
- Proven ability in project management and field‑based decision‑making
- Strong leadership qualities with a passion for developing teams and managing change
- A strong, personal commitment to safety , compliance and operational excellence
