Electrical Engineer - Power Electronics Equipment

At the forefront of decarbonisation of industrial and energy sectors (conventional and renewable), this organisation is expanding its supplier quality and manufacturing performance team to ensure excellence across its global supply chain.
We are currently seeking a Power Electronics Components Engineer to join the team based in Île-de-France. In this role, you’ll drive the qualification and improvement of critical electrical components and supplier processes, ensuring high-quality delivery of advanced power systems used around the world.
Your Role
As a component and supplier specialist, you will be instrumental in evaluating suppliers, qualifying key power components, and improving manufacturing practices. This role combines technical expertise with supplier engagement and quality performance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess supplier capabilities, including quality systems, manufacturing processes, and project readiness
- Lead product qualification processes for key components such as inductors, capacitors, resistors, and transformers
- Ensure conformity to design and process control requirements
- Support suppliers in applying the company’s quality and manufacturing standards
- Perform audits and monitor ongoing supplier quality performance
- Manage non-conformities, lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Support strategic cost recovery and quality improvement negotiations
- Provide technical insight during supplier selection and product development phases
The Ideal Candidate
- Engineering degree in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Electrotechnics
- 3+ years' experience with power electronic components such as capacitors, transformers, inductors, or magnetic materials
- Strong understanding of insulation systems, dielectric testing, and manufacturing processes for high-voltage components
- Comfortable managing international supplier relationships and frequent travel (Europe/Asia)
- Analytical, proactive, and collaborative approach in complex industrial settings
- Experience in quality tools is valued but not mandatory
