You will lead a diverse and geographically distributed legal team and work closely with senior business leaders across the region (spanning from France to Italy, Spain, Portugal to Latin America). You will provide practical, forward‑looking legal guidance while helping shape Adobe’s growth in complex and evolving regulatory environments.

This is not simply a senior legal role — it is first and foremost a people‑leadership role.

What You’ll Do

Lead and Develop the Team

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a team of 7 lawyers and legal professionals across Paris and São Paulo, fostering an inclusive, high‑trust environment.
  • Own the team’s talent strategy, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and career development in line with Adobe’s Check‑In framework.
  • Support and develop junior managers, promoting strong people‑leadership practices and inclusivity.

Shape Legal Strategy

  • Define and implement the legal strategy for Southwest Europe (France, Italy, and Spain) and Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Argentina as main markets).
  • Identify and manage legal risk across commercial, regulatory, data privacy, IP, and AI‑related matters, translating risk into clear business guidance.
  • Advise senior leaders and contribute to industry guidelines and policy discussions.

Partner with the Business

  • Act as a trusted legal partner to top‑level executives, providing proactive, strategic counsel.
  • Oversee complex commercial agreements, including licensing, services, partnerships, and AI‑related arrangements.
  • Support sales, marketing, finance, and product teams through practical legal guidance and targeted training.

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Manage external counsel relationships and the regional legal budget.
  • Improve legal operations through process optimization, legal technology, AI innovation and workflows, and effective knowledge management.
  • Ensure high standards of governance, documentation, and integrity in line with Adobe’s Code of Business Conduct.

What You’ll Bring

Experience and Qualifications

  • Law degree (or equivalent) and active admission to the Bar.
  • 12+ years of post‑qualification legal experience, with significant in‑house experience at a multinational technology, software, or IP‑intensive company.
  • 6+ years of people‑management experience, including direct management of lawyers at varying levels of seniority.
  • Proven track record of managing geographically dispersed, multicultural teams — experience managing across EMEA and LATAM strongly preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of commercial/IT/IP law and strong working knowledge of GDPR, AI regulation, and competition law in the French, Spanish and/or Italian context.
  • Experience overseeing external counsel partnerships and managing legal budgets at a regional level.

Languages

  • French: Native or bilingual proficiency.
  • English: Full professional proficiency.
  • Spanish, Portuguese, Italian: An advantage.

Ways You Work

  • A champion of Adobe’s core values: Create the Future, Own the Outcome, Raise the Bar, Be Genuine.
  • Collaborative leader who empowers their team; influences and adjusts style to drive strong performance across the matrix.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and liaise effectively with collaborators at all levels.
  • An inspirational manager and motivator capable of attracting, developing and advancing great talent and leading a distributed team, drawing on strengths to achieve common goals.
  • A strategic problem‑solver with excellent legal and business judgement. Impeccable integrity and ethical behavior with a strong moral compass and a commitment to transparency.
