Job Title: Group Head of Legal & Compliance (f/m)

Contract type: Permanent

Function

Within a fast‑growing cooperative Group, you report to the Deputy CEO and lead the Group Legal & Compliance function. Your mission is to secure global operations, support strategic decision‑making, protect R&D and IP assets, ensure full regulatory compliance, and drive a strong legal governance framework across all business activities.

Main Goal

  1. Legal leadership & governance
    • Define and deploy the Group’s legal strategy.
    • Lead and structure corporate and Business Line legal teams.
    • Optimize resources: budgets, external counsel, tools.
    • Promote a Group‑wide legal and compliance culture.
  2. Strategic counsel to top management
    • Advise the Executive Committee on governance, M&A, and strategic decisions.
    • Support and secure high‑stakes negotiations.
  3. External growth & partnerships
    • Lead legal aspects of M&A transactions: due diligence, structuring, negotiation, integration.
    • Manage coordination with specialized external law firms.
  4. Intellectual property & innovation security
    • Define and implement the IP strategy (patents, trademarks, licensing).
    • Manage R&D agreements, technology partnerships, and IP litigation.
    • Protect and develop the Group’s innovation assets.
  5. Compliance, risk management & litigation
    • Lead global compliance programs (anti‑corruption, GDPR, competition).
    • Map, assess, and mitigate legal risks across all activities.
    • Supervise audits, whistleblowing processes, and all litigation matters.

What we expect of you

Education : Master’s degree in Law (International / Business Law or an equivalent).

Experience : 15–20 years of experience, including 10 years as Head of Legal in an international environment. Strong expertise in compliance, M&A, governance, and Intellectual Property.

Languages : Fluent in French and English.
