Director, Business Development - Development, Benelux (Remote) (All Genders)

In this role you drive new business growth and deepen client relationships in the Benelux region for Evotec’s drug discovery and pre‑clinical services. You work closely with Operations, Proposals and Marketing to tailor solutions for pharmaceutical and biotech clients. You manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure, while maintaining high client satisfaction. You will be a visible, cross‑functional leader shaping regional strategy and growth.

• Drive the regional commercial strategy with the VP of Sales and establish Evotec as the partner of choice in Benelux
• Spend substantial time (40-50%) in client‑facing activities to generate new business and manage opportunities
• Oversee the full sales pipeline from territory prospecting, meetings, proposals, negotiation, to closure
• Meet or exceed sales targets and quarterly KPIs while maintaining an accurate CRM pipeline
• Develop long‑term relationships with key decision‑makers and serve as primary contact during pre‑award and handoff to PM
• Identify cross‑sell/upsell opportunities within selected accounts and encourage repeat business
• Represent the company at industry events and provide market feedback to support strategy and product development
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or related field
• 5+ years of sales experience in a CRO, CDMO, biotech service provider, or pre‑clinical environment
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
• Broad understanding of discovery and pre‑clinical development processes
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel extensively (40%+)
• Established network within biotech/pharma (desirable)
• Experience selling complex scientific or technical services (desirable)
