Director, Applied AI Transformation - Manufacturing & Industrial

We’re looking for a Director, Applied AI Transformation – Manufacturing & Industrial to join our team across Europe in a hybrid or remote working mode. In this role, you will lead large-scale AI and agentic transformation programs for global manufacturing and industrial enterprises, acting as a strategic advisor to C‑suite executives and driving measurable business value through applied AI innovation.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute applied AI and agentic transformation strategies for manufacturing and industrial clients
• Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on AI adoption and digital transformation initiatives
• Lead presales efforts including shaping opportunities, building business cases and supporting origination activities
• Facilitate ideation workshops to translate operational and business challenges into actionable AI use cases
• Drive enterprise-wide AI adoption by identifying high‑value opportunities and leading change management
• Lead cross‑functional delivery teams to design, develop and deploy AI and multi‑agent systems at scale
• Maintain hands‑on expertise with large language models, agent orchestration platforms and AI ecosystems across major labs and hyperscalers
• Ensure AI solutions meet compliance, scalability and security standards across regulated manufacturing processes
• Mentor EPAM and client teams to build internal AI capabilities and accelerate adoption
• Monitor industry trends and represent EPAM as a thought leader in manufacturing and industrial AI transformation

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing and industrial sectors with a proven track record in business transformation or large‑scale technology programs
• Strong understanding of ERP landscapes, process automation, compliance and operational workflows including supply chain, production and maintenance
• Proven experience advising C‑suite executives and designing AI adoption strategies for complex organizations
• Practical experience with applied AI including large language models, RAG frameworks and multi‑agent systems
• Familiarity with major AI labs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft) and hyperscaler ecosystems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Ability to shape business cases and convert transformational AI opportunities in presales contexts
• Leadership experience managing global, cross‑functional teams in regulated environments
• Excellent client‑facing communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business; MBA preferred
• Ability to travel as required
