The Digital Communications Creator is the designated storyteller of the EFPRP, entrusted with the vital task of verbalizing our mission. In this role, you will craft the narratives that educate the European public on the nuances of fire prevention and the richness of rural heritage. You must possess the unique ability to distill complex technical information, such as forestry data or safety protocols, into accessible, human-centric stories that inspire action and empathy. You will be the pen behind our most important messages, ensuring that whether we are addressing a government official or a local farmer, our tone remains consistent, persuasive, and deeply informed.

Responsibilities

• Write compelling articles, blog posts, and press releases.
• Script engaging videos and informative webinars.
• Draft newsletters for our members, donors, and stakeholders.
• Research topics related to fire safety, forestry, and rural culture.
• Interview experts, firefighters, and volunteers for feature stories.
• Ensure tone consistency across all written channels.
• Collaborate with the Designer to visualize complex data through infographics.

Must Have

• Exceptional writing and editing skills in English.
• Ability to translate technical jargon into accessible language.
• Strong research skills and journalistic integrity.
• Meticulous attention to detail and grammar.
• Ability to adapt tone for different audiences (policymakers vs. general public).

Nice to have

• Journalism background.
• Experience with Content Management Systems (WordPress, etc.).
• Understanding of SEO best practices.
