Digital Asset Treasury Lead
Full time - Paris or full remote from Western EU - (salary) + equity
Kiln is now part of the prestigious French Government program #FT120 from La French Tech
We’re hiring a Digital Asset Treasury Lead to own the crypto side of our multi‑entity, multi‑currency treasury. You’ll combine market‑facing responsibility (hedging, execution strategy, venue selection) with operational excellence (custody, conversions, counterparty limits, controls). You’ll design the frameworks, processes, and reporting that will scale Kiln’s crypto treasury as the company grows.
Responsibilities
- 1) Market strategy & execution
- Build liquidity forecasts that integrate market scenarios and protocol reward projections.
- Monitor digital asset markets and protocol dynamics; provide insights and recommendations within approved risk parameters.
- Design and execute hedging strategies and yield‑enhancing trades to manage risk and generate incremental returns.
- Lead relationships with exchanges, OTC desks, market makers, and DeFi protocols to secure best pricing and access.
- 2) Treasury operations & settlements
- Define custody architecture, signatory matrix, and secure transaction workflows.
- Manage crypto‑to‑fiat conversions and on‑chain yield, optimizing returns while balancing liquidity and risk.
- Coordinate with Finance Ops & Data for reconciliations, settlements, and ledger accuracy.
- Maintain treasury systems and tools (TMS, APIs, dashboards) to support straight‑through processing.
- 3) Counterparty & risk management
- Implement and operate a Risk Management System (RMS) to monitor exposures, P&L, and limits.
- Conduct ongoing counterparty due diligence, concentration monitoring, and stress testing.
- Maintain the Digital Asset Treasury Policy and enforce operational controls (segregation of duties, maker/checker, multi‑sig).
- 4) Reporting & strategic enablement
- Deliver concise, decision‑ready reports and KPIs for leadership and the Board.
- Provide market and liquidity insights to guide capital allocation and risk appetite.
- Partner with corporate treasury on liquidity, FX, and funding strategies.
- Scale processes and controls to align with public‑company standards.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in digital asset treasury, institutional crypto markets, or related roles blending execution and risk.
- Skills: Custody and wallet operations, settlement workflows, execution venue management, and hedging across multiple instruments; familiarity with staking reward modelling.
- Risk & controls: Proven ability to establish and operate within limits; strong governance mindset; practical experience with an RMS (selection, implementation, or daily use).
- Collaboration: Experience partnering with Finance, Compliance, and Data/Engineering in a high‑growth setting.
- Communication: Ability to translate market data into clear recommendations for decision‑makers.
- Languages: Fluent in English; French is a plus.
