DevOps Engineer for Strasbourg

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to work for a client project in Strasbourg.

Work Location: Strasbourg – 80% on-site and 20% off-site (remote) or 50% on-site and 50% off-site (remote).

Start Date: Immediately; Duration: 1 year, possible extensions; Contract: Freelance only.

Preliminary Requirements: Candidate must be a citizen of an EU member state and be able to provide a criminal record clearance.

The candidate should have at least three years of recent experience with OpenShift.

Role description

In charge of the deployment of an institutional application in the customer datacenter.

Tasks

• Importing source code from external providers and verifying the correct push in GitHub/Jenkins, using Ansible Tower as orchestrator.
• Build the application (as microservices) and verify the correct pipeline execution.
• Check Sonar, Fortify SCA results, and built images.
• Generate deployment package using the orchestrator.
• Import deployment package using the orchestrator and verify the Helm Charts pushed, containers, etc.
• Execute the deployment on the target environment using the orchestrator.
• Verify the deployment before the testing phase.
• Participate in the improvement of deployment processes.

Job requirements

• University degree (master or equivalent) in Computer Science.
• Minimum 5 years of professional IT experience.
• Strong knowledge in infrastructure, specifically OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Proven and excellent experience in using, at least, the following technologies:
  • GitHub
  • Jenkins
  • Maven
  • Buildah
  • Ansible Tower
  • Artifactory, Jfrog
  • SonarQube
  • Fortify SCA
  • Helm Charts, ArgoCD
  • CI/CD experience
  • Service Mesh (Istio)
  • Kafka
  • Linux
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Very good English speaking & writing skills.
• Experience and willingness to work in an international/multicultural environment.
