Responsibilities

As a Design Office Technician at the Vénissieux site, you will participate in the design, evolution, and improvement of our products using a comprehensive product/process approach. Your role is to transform customer needs into reliable, cost‑effective technical solutions adapted to production.

  • Designing and defining new products : analyze customer needs and feedback to translate them into technical data. Design or reverse‑engineer parts and sub‑assemblies in compliance with specifications, regulations, and professional standards. Create digital CAD models (SolidWorks), establish standardized plans, and compile the technical files necessary for vehicle manufacturing and approval.
  • Developing existing products : product‑lifecycle management – ensuring technical follow‑up of products, proposing improvements, identifying production issues, and implementing appropriate solutions in collaboration with field teams.
  • Developing and optimizing manufacturing processes : define manufacturing processes and sequences in line with technical guidelines and cost, quality, and lead‑time requirements. Participate in design reviews, create assembly instructions, and maintain data in the ERP.
  • Ensuring compliance and quality : ensure compliance with regulatory and normative constraints related to vehicle approval. Work with suppliers to validate the compliance of components and the technical solutions deployed.
  • Participating in project development and innovation : anticipate needs related to new products and participate in development projects for the activities you are responsible for. In coordination with the design office and technical teams, integrate supply constraints from the design phase.

Candidate profile

2-year post‑secondary degree in mechanical design, production engineering, or engineering (BTS CRC or CAV). Successful initial experience in an industrial environment, ideally in bodywork, automotive, or vehicle fitting.

Proficient in SolidWorks and experienced with an ERP. Good knowledge of mechanical technologies (sheet metal work, mechanized welding, electricity, electrotechnics, etc.). Curious, rigorous, and pragmatic, with analytical skills, open‑mindedness, and a sense of teamwork. Enjoys understanding, designing, and transforming ideas into concrete solutions. Autonomy and team spirit are key attributes.
