Data Management and Landscape Transformation (DMLT) Engagement Architect is the critical bridge between complex SAP RISE/Cloud ERP transformation challenges and the specialized capabilities of the SAP Data Migration & Landscape Transformation (DMLT) Service Portfolio. This end‑to‑end solution role is responsible for orchestrating presales, technical bid strategy, and defining the complete architecture for major data initiatives.
The role requires a blend of technical and functional knowledge of SAP data structures, user empathy, and a strategic, analytical mindset to ensure the proposed solution meets the client’s executive vision while delivering practical, high‑value outcomes for transformation execution. Location: Paris.
What you will do
- Orchestrate end‑to‑end presales and solutioning for SAP RISE and cloud ERP transformations, driving technical and functional delivery for data migration and transformation initiatives per the SAP DMLT Service Portfolio.
- Engage in strategic selling, lead technical bid management, solution demonstrations, and presentation of SAP RISE/BDC/AI capabilities, ensuring alignment between customer executive vision and technical solution mechanics.
- Own assigned incoming opportunities from start to finish and actively manage presales cycles in partnership with sales, customers, and SAP subject experts (Platform, Functional, SAP DMLT, Others).
- Collaborate closely with customers to assess transformation requirements, quickly ramping up on the DMLT Service portfolio to manage the opportunity pipeline with limited support.
- Lead and deliver technical assessment workshops with customers to define project scope.
- Define solution approach and business blueprinting for data migration and data transformation projects.
- Discuss the DMLT solution portfolio with customers and sales teams to generate demand.
- Assist in developing the overall project plan (scoping process) and individual work plans.
- Handle all incoming enquiries and opportunities promptly by actively engaging with the customer, sales teams, and subject matter experts.
- Drive the adoption of DMLT Automation topics within customer projects.
What you bring
Content Focus
- 5+ years of experience in SAP services sales or presales.
- 5+ years of experience in bid approval and bid management processes.
- 5+ years of experience in program/project management, ideally for S/4HANA transition.
- Good understanding of how M&A, divestiture, and data transformation projects are executed.
- Basic understanding of SAP FI, SAP CO, SAP MM, and SAP SD, and the ability to articulate process flows and impacts on services offered from SAP DMLT.
- Deeper business and functional understanding in at least one of these areas: Finance, Logistics, BW and BDC, Data Integration.
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA Data Migration and various transition scenarios.
- Experience with SAP Project Management to quickly create draft project plans, RACI charts, and SOWs.
Business Acumen
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead customer engagements at an executive level.
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and facilitates understanding for technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to estimate the financial impact of various solution architecture alternatives.
- Proven experience delivering services in a remote environment with key stakeholders and remote teams.
- Proven expertise and commitment to knowledge management and mentoring.
- Experience with license and services pre‑sales activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
Language
French language proficiency is a must.
