Data team
At Joko, the Data team plays a central role in transforming data into a true product that powers insights, automation, and innovation across the company. We are part of the Data & Operations department, and our mission is to build robust data foundations that enable all teams to make smarter, faster, and more scalable decisions. Today, the team is made of Data Analysts handling full‑stack responsibilities, from building dashboards and conducting analyses to designing and maintaining data pipelines. Joining us as a Data Analyst Intern means getting the opportunity to learn from this full‑stack approach: you will be exposed to the entire lifecycle of data processes, from data ingestion and transformation to modeling, business analysis, and visualization.
What You Will Do
- Continuous learning and improvement: grow your skills and knowledge under the guidance of an experienced Data Analyst.
- Data loading and transformation: load and transform data as part of a full stack approach, gaining exposure to all aspects of the data lifecycle.
- Deep‑dive analyses: explore and analyze data to uncover trends, patterns, and potential issues that support decision‑making across all teams.
- Building data solutions: contribute to the design and implementation of internal data solutions such as forecasting or scoring models and decision‑support tools.
- Reporting and data visualization: create dashboards and charts using our data visualization tool, defining report content and communicating findings to stakeholders.
- Interactions with stakeholders: work hand‑in‑hand with teams to understand needs, gather feedback, and evangelize data usage.
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience: end‑of‑study internship; prior internship in Data or a demanding environment (e.g., M&A, consulting) is a plus.
- Education: graduate from a top‑tier engineering, business, or applied science program.
- Mindset: entrepreneurial mindset, welcomes challenges, feedback, and continuous improvement.
- Problem‑solving & analytical skills: enjoys solving complex problems and analyzing data.
- Coding knowledge: familiarity with at least one programming language; mastery of SQL and Python is a plus.
- Business acumen: understands business stakeholder needs and can see the big picture.
- Communication: presents conclusions clearly and concisely, written and oral.
- Languages: fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Hiring Process
- Intro call: quick screening with either the Hiring Manager or the Talent team.
- Step 1 – Team interview (45 min): conversation with two Joko team members (including the Hiring Manager, people from the team you’d join, or colleagues from other teams).
- Step 2 – Role‑specific assessments: for non‑tech roles, take‑home case study; for tech roles, live technical interviews (coding + system design); for research internships, additional round may involve analysis and presentation of a research paper.
- Step 3 – Leadership interview (45 min): conversation with a SteerCo member and a Founder.
- References: up to 3 calls with former colleagues or managers.
