About the role
As a Data & AI engineer within our Digital Commercial Accelerator team, you will support efforts to revolutionize how Sanofi delivers life‑saving medicines through data, AI and digital innovation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop and improve your expertise while contributing to impactful projects.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines that transform raw data into valuable insights, ensuring scalability and reliability in cloud environments.
- Develop and fine‑tune data models with a focus on query performance and efficient workloads.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement data quality checks and follow governance standards.
- Support and maintain automated data ingestion processes and monitoring systems to track operational KPIs, troubleshoot issues, and maintain pipeline health.
- Build and maintain ETL processes and machine learning workflows, providing clean AI‑ready data for our applications.
- Apply and share data engineering best practices, including design patterns, CI/CD integrations, containerised deployments, and participate in peer review of code and technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Solid experience in implementing data pipelines and data warehouse solutions in cloud environments.
- Strong experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes and pipeline orchestration in production settings.
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Technical Skills
- Mastery of data engineering techniques and tools, including job scheduling and orchestration tools.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data warehousing platforms (Snowflake preferred).
- Hands‑on experience with ETL tools (IICS or equivalent), data transformation tools (dbt preferred) and Python for data processing.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and orchestration frameworks (Airflow preferred).
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices (GitHub Actions preferred), version control (Git) and infrastructure as code principles (Terraform preferred).
- Ability to implement engineering patterns and technical standards.
Soft Skills
- Collaborative mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Collaborate with data scientists, data analysts and engineers, exchanging insights across teams and following best practices and standards for data engineering workflows.
- Self‑motivated and able to take initiative in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effective communication skills to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred).
Languages
English is mandatory.

Salary Range
€48,000 – €64,000 per year.
