DACH Market Lead – Business Development (German Speaker)

Context

As Padam Mobility is growing and evolving fast, we are recruiting a Business Developer to help us develop within DACH markets by working with internal stakeholders such as Hacon and Siemens Mobility. Your role is to develop public Demand-Responsive Transport (DRT) to fit the needs of people and territories and to help & accompany the team when you estimate it is needed.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Sales Growth (50%) — Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth within the public transport and corporate sector. Identify new business opportunities and target key markets to expand our client base in DACH Markets. Conduct sales presentations and demonstrations, showcasing the value and benefits of our SaaS offerings. Pursue partnership opportunities with strategic organizations, influencers, and industry leaders to enhance our market presence. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth opportunities. Participate in online and onsite events to raise awareness and increase visibility of Padam offering.
  • Client Relationship Management (30%) — Manage and grow key accounts, acting as the main point of contact for our most strategic customers and understanding their evolving needs & concerns. In partnership with Customer Success, drive upsell and expansion opportunities, identifying ways to deliver more value for our customers and increase adoption. Provide exceptional client service and address issues to turn customers into true brand ambassadors, fostering long‑term partnerships built on trust and shared success.
  • Cross‑Collaboration (20%) — Own and coordinate the bid process on complex multi‑million deals with the Pre‑Sales team, the Product Value team, partners and various stakeholders within Siemens Mobility’s environment such as Hacon. Drive coordinated project execution across internal stakeholders by integrating inputs from the different teams to support strategic objectives and deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in business development roles, preferably in the SaaS industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long‑term relationships with clients and partners.
  • Native‑level German (C2) and professional‑level English (C1/C2). Any European language is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Relevant experience in the transport industry or sales to European public authorities through strategic tenders (over €1million).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Understanding of On‑Demand Mobility and the public transport industry, including market trends, competitors, and customer pain points.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional, international and inter‑company teams and contribute to a positive work environment.
