Position Overview

Business Developer – DACH Markets, responsible for developing public DRT solutions and working with internal stakeholders such as Hacon and Siemens Mobility.

Responsibilities

  • You develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth within the public transport and corporate sector.
  • You identify new business opportunities and target key markets to expand our client base in the DACH region.
  • You conduct sales presentations and demonstrations, showcasing the value and benefits of our SaaS offerings.
  • You pursue partnership opportunities with strategic organizations, influencers, and industry leaders to enhance our market presence.
  • You conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth opportunities.
  • You detect and participate in online and onsite events to raise awareness and increase visibility of Padam’s offering and expertise.
  • You manage and grow key accounts, acting as the main point of contact for our most strategic customers and understanding their evolving needs and concerns.
  • In partnership with Customer Success, you drive upsell and expansion opportunities, identifying ways to deliver more value for our customers and increase adoption.
  • You provide exceptional client service and address issues, turning customers into true brand ambassadors and fostering long‑term partnerships built on trust and shared success.
  • You own and coordinate the bid process on complex multi‑million deals with the Pre‑Sales team, the Product Value team, partners, and various stakeholders within Siemens Mobility’s environment such as Hacon.
  • You drive coordinated project execution across internal stakeholders by integrating inputs from the different teams to support strategic objectives and deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • You have solid experience in business development roles, preferably in the SaaS industry.
  • You have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  • You demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long‑term relationships with clients and partners.
  • You can mediate when your friends can’t decide whether the elephant or the rhino is stronger.
  • You speak German at a native level (C2) and English at a professional level (C1/C2). Any European language is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • You have relevant experience in the transport industry or in sales to European public authorities through strategic tenders over €1 million.
  • You demonstrate strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop effective sales strategies.
  • You understand On‑Demand Mobility and the public transport industry, including market trends, competitors, and customer pain points.
  • You have the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional, international, and inter‑company teams and contribute to a positive work environment.
