Summary of role
The ideal candidate is an experienced supply chain/logistics professional that can create independently value propositions for complex integrated solutions for a wide range of clients. Preferably, the candidate has Retail/FMCG or Chemicals/Technology experience. To execute this role successfully, the candidate needs to be able to hold mature senior client conversations in French/English on end‑to‑end supply chain topics, help clients improve their supply chain by designing integrated logistical solutions based on customer needs and pain points.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead cross‑functional pursuit teams (Sales, Product, IT/Integration, Value Engineering, Solution Engineering) and jointly work with the Opportunity owner (Sales) on driving the team through the commercial/OMEB process.
- Coordinate across Areas, Regions and Functions for global solution pursuits, and align with design teams and functions in relation to resources and specific cross‑regional pursuits.
- Lead client workshops with the support of Sales and Product to identify customer needs and pain points, validate As‑is state and proposed To‑be solution with clear ROI projection and benefits (qualitative and quantitative).
- Capture customer requirements, value concepts, scope and terms, and work closely with Product teams to ensure requirements are met; if not, design solutions to meet requirements.
- Execute project management and planning (PMO) during every pursuit: organize pursuit team meetings, manage internal stakeholders and prepare progress and stakeholder reports, maintain an action tracker, and follow up action owners.
- Create value propositions for complex integrated solutions for clients and reuse previously developed solutions for efficiency.
- Support the development of commercial response documentation (rate sheets, client questionnaires, value propositions).
- Prepare financial projections, attractiveness assessments and negotiation scenarios jointly with Sales and Product.
- Ensure the commercial process is adhered to during every pursuit.
- Ensure OMEB is executed effectively on every pursuit team.
- Remain informed about the BU’s and industry best solution practices.
Requirements
- Solid professional experience, preferably in management consultancy (Supply Chain and/or Logistics) or a customer solution design role in the logistics industry.
- Experience in Retail/FMCG or Chemicals/Technology.
- Commercial experience.
- Bachelor’s and Post‑graduate degree in business or Supply Chain/Logistics.
- The ideal candidate is "customer obsessed", commercially oriented and has an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Excellent communication and social skills for interaction with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to orchestrate and lead a pursuit team of 5‑15 individuals.
- Data‑driven, analytical, action‑oriented mindset.
- Ability to travel internationally (mainly Southwest Europe) frequently; short business trips on a monthly basis.
- Fluent in English and French (written & spoken).
