Bringing together 43 member countries, the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) finances projects that strengthen social cohesion across Europe. From education and health to affordable housing, the Bank supports initiatives that improve living conditions for vulnerable communities while addressing the social dimensions of climate change and environmental challenges.

Within the Risk & Control Directorate, the Credit Risk Unit monitors key credit risk parameters and ensures that risk information remains accurate, timely and complete. As Credit Risk Monitoring Associate, you will support this work by helping manage credit risk data, contribute to reporting and assist in the organisation of key governance processes within the unit.

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor and report on key credit risk data to ensure sound credit risk management.
  • Manage credit risk data in IT systems to ensure the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of credit risk information.
  • Prepare credit risk reviews and reports, draft presentations for the Credit Risk Committee meetings, and update relevant financial data.
  • Coordinate the Credit Risk Committees via scheduling meetings, preparing agenda, and maintaining of the Credit Risk Committee database.
  • Coordinate the Credit Risk Unit team activities, including notably the organisation of team meetings and budgetary follow-ups.

To join us

  • A university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in finance, economics, banking or another quantitative field
  • Demonstrated relevant experience ideally gained in a financial institution, international organisation or development agency
  • An understanding of credit risk management concepts and tools
  • Strong analytical judgement and attention to detail when working with financial data
  • Clear writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
  • Proficiency in MS Office and collaborative tools, with familiarity with credit risk management software

You should also have an excellent command of either English or French, together with knowledge of the other language and a commitment to reach a good working level.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

1) The CEB offers an initial 9-months temporary appointment starting as soon as possible with, under certain conditions, the possibility of renewal up to a maximum of 24 months.

2) Grade and salary:

  • B3
  • Depending on level of experience, monthly salary is 4,442.88€, plus allowances based on eligibility, exempt of French income tax.
  • Appointment may be made at a lower grade, based on the qualifications and professional experience of the selected applicant.
  • Grades are established without any discrimination (including gender discrimination)
