Country Insurance Manager France (M/F) – Le Bourget

Role expectations
As the Country Insurance Manager, you will be responsible for all insurance operations for the French entities of the DHL Group.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Manage the full insurance portfolio (buildings, civil liability, contractual liability, vehicles and equipment…)
- Define and implement insurance strategies aligned with the Group’s overall objectives
- Advise leadership teams and act as the insurance reference point for French Business Units
Insurance management & renewals
- Supervise end‑to‑end renewal processes (data collection, validation, negotiations, invoicing, certificates)
- Ensure optimal integration of global insurance programs
- Identify off‑program entities and support their integration or local exceptions
Team support & performance management
- Train and raise awareness among teams on coverage, risks and contractual obligations
- Produce regular reporting for management
- Lead continuous improvement actions (using the FIRST CHOICE methodology)
Internal & external relations
- Collaborate with the global and regional Insurance Risk Management network
- Coordinate exchanges with insurers, brokers and service providers
- Work with Procurement, Real Estate, Legal, HR… on insurance‑related contractual clauses
- Participate in and lead Business Review Meetings
Your profile
- University degree or specialized insurance certification (ACII, FCII, CPCU, CEBS, IEBA…)
- 8 to 10 years of insurance experience (excluding life insurance) in an international environment
- Experience in indirect management and project management
- Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Very strong professional command of English (C1 to C2), and French (C2)
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
