Controls Engineer Intern

Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Summer 2026 Controls Engineer Intern (40 hours, full-time during the summer). This position will be in Vichy, MO. Candidate must be located in Missouri.

Summary:

The Controls Engineer Co-op will assist in developing and debugging control systems using C# .NET, supporting system integration and commissioning. The role involves testing and integrating hardware and software components while collaborating with the controls team to ensure systems meet project requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Work with team to develop controls programs (C# .NET) based on standard programming methods.
• Assist with debug and commission control systems at our facilities during system integration.
• Test, and integrate hardware and software components such as robots, analog devices, motion controllers, sensors, vision systems, lasers, and other control related hardware.
• Provide thorough testing of machine functionality to verify that the software program meets the project requirements.
• Works with other languages and systems as necessary, such as the data acquisition system.
• Works with the rest of the controls team to support the development of electrical, controls, software, and data collection systems.

Credentials and Education:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree.
