Position Summary
The Communications Coordinator is responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of integrated communication strategies across digital, print, and event-based platforms. This hands‑on role produces engaging content, manages social media, oversees print and advertising projects, and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders in Paris and the New York Marketing & Communication team.
The position requires strong project management skills, creativity, and the ability to work across multiple channels and timelines. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/French), highly organized, and comfortable leveraging print, social, digital media channels, as well as AI tools to enhance communication impact and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Content Creation & Digital Communication
- Produce and manage high‑quality content for websites, newsletters, social media, and institutional communications.
- Maintain a cohesive editorial calendar aligned with academic cycles, admissions, and student events.
- Develop storytelling content highlighting student, faculty, and alumni achievements.
- Leverage technology and AI tools to optimize content production, audience targeting, and performance tracking.
Social Media Management
- Manage and grow institutional social media channels with a strong focus on engagement and visibility.
- Develop dynamic content strategies, particularly for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube showcasing:
- Program events, awards, collaborations
- Student and alumni success stories
- Collaborate with students to co‑create content (e.g., program posters, testimonials, creative assets).
Print Materials & Publications
- Coordinate production of print materials in collaboration with faculty, staff, and departments in Paris and New York.
- Viewbooks & institutional materials: oversee content accuracy, technical specifications, images, and deadlines.
- Program postcards: manage annual updates, production, and distribution for five programs aligned with admissions cycles and recruitment events.
- ReD Magazine: liaise with Admissions, faculty, alumni, and NY teams to develop content from brief to final print.
Paid Advertising & Campaigns
- Coordinate development and execution of paid advertising campaigns.
- Program ads and landing pages (graduate and undergraduate).
- External platforms (e.g., Fashionista, StudyPortals).
- Manage content, visuals, technical requirements, and stakeholder coordination.
- Review advertising contracts and ensure alignment with institutional goals.
- Liaise with Marketing & Communications (M&C) in New York to analyze metrics and optimize effectiveness.
Web Content & Page Management
- Coordinate updates and launches of Parsons Paris web pages with regular updates to:
- Program and academic pages (e.g., minors across departments).
- Admission‑related content.
- Specific event content, like Open House.
- Student Success portals.
- Work closely with Admissions, Student Success, faculty and M&C in NY on structure, links, and content.
- Track and analyze page performance metrics in collaboration with NY M&C.
Project & Event Communication
- Lead communication efforts for school and program‑related events from planning to post‑event coverage.
- Develop promotional materials and ensure consistent messaging across platforms.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Support innovative formats such as virtual discovery sessions, course highlights, and studio showcases.
Stakeholder & International Liaison
- Serve as a central communication point between:
- Internal departments (faculty, admissions, student success & administration).
- External advertising partners and vendors.
- New York Marketing & Communications team.
- Ensure alignment on branding, messaging, timelines, and deliverables across all projects.
Committee Involvement
- Act as an active member of the Gallery Committee.
- Contribute to communication, promotion, and visibility of gallery programming and events.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field.
- Proven experience in digital communications, content creation, copywriting skills, and knowledge of software tools such as Figma for design, Adobe Premiere for video, Illustrator and Photoshop for print.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably French.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Experience in project coordination that requires working with multiple stakeholders and international teams.
- Familiarity with advanced technology and AI tools for content and communication optimization.
Preferred
- Experience in education, arts or cultural institutions.
- Knowledge of print production processes.
- Experience with analytics and performance tracking.
